Whit & Whimsy.
At the end of December 2010, I had a conversation that would come to change how I thought about my life. The challenge was to live life creatively. To tap into the creative spirit that is so often ignored in our Nation’s Capital.
I was born and raised in the Los Angeles area. I relocated to our nation’s capital in 2003 for college and haven’t ever left. I’ve worked three different types of political jobs since graduating from Georgetown in 2007. While it pays the bills, photography feeds my soul. And so, Whit & Whimsy was born.
Overall, I can be described by my love of cakes, cookies, pastries, bars (both the baked seven layer kind and the social outing kind), bundt pans, food history, my bright green KitchenAid mixer, women’s social history, cookbooks, Jewish Civilization, Popsicles, “girlie” drinks, Smitten Kitchen, a capella, big sunglasses, mindless television, square white plates, pop culture, weddings, wedding blogs, wedding photographers, purses, shoes, Anthropologie, Blue Moon, fluff novels and movies.

I like this!! I’m an art teacher in New England. I’m not really big on politics, but I like your list of favorite things. We have a lot in common
